Dunno, I kind of like the idea of Thermopylae with a synth-pop 80s soundtrack. This is why I was asking about Baz Luhrmann's "Alexander" I think - I'm picturing some sort of Ziegfield Follies version. (Because I'm sick like that).

Sounds like it would have improved TROY and ALEXANDER. Maybe throw in "Don't You Want Me" and "Just Can't Get Enough" (the latter definitely for Alexander), maybe?

I didn't watch Daredevil because, eww, Ben Affleck as a superhero, but Premiere magazine tells me the sequel, Elektra, will NOT have The Affleck but instead have Goran Visnjic, a.k.a. Hot Doc Luka, on board as Garner's love interest. Man, I might have to watch that one.
BTW, has anyone seen The Time of the Wolf? Premiere listed it as one of the best flicks of the year and I haven't even *heard* of the movie, let alone seen it. I don't think it came to play where I live. I mean, Isabelle Huppert. An apocalypse. The creepy. What's not to love?
Goran Visnjic is criminally attractive. Damn, this means I have to see Electra now.
The person who printed that user review is pretty off-base thinking that a French audience would be more likely to take offense art a horse's death than an American one, though. Last time I checked, there weren't places here where you can have horse as the entree.
Daredevil had one thing going for it. Colin Farrell. And I'm not even a fan of the man.
I was all set to see Elektra for free, but the screening's in the middle of the day. t pout
I thought Garner was good as Elektra. Much more credible as a fighter than Affleck, that's for sure. Colin was the funstuff though. His peanut kill on the airplane was beautiful.
