Daredevil had one thing going for it. Colin Farrell. And I'm not even a fan of the man.
Buffista Movies 3: Panned and Scanned
A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I was all set to see Elektra for free, but the screening's in the middle of the day. t pout
I thought Garner was good as Elektra. Much more credible as a fighter than Affleck, that's for sure. Colin was the funstuff though. His peanut kill on the airplane was beautiful.
Colin was well worth a matinee viewing, and don't leave before the end of the credits.
Or translate that into rental-speak.

Diamond shoes a little too tight?
Diamond shoes a little too tight?
And this champagne has totally gone flat. My life is agony.
It's funny how Colin's persona often overshadows the fact that he really is an excellent actor.
I haven't been to the movies in forever. I want to go. I have plans to see a double feature of In Good Company and Elektra with my best friend when I get back to LA, but she has a tendency to flake. Which kind of bites. I wish my mom was feeling up to a movie, but the weather is making her feel like never leaving the house, ever. Which is understandable, really. And yet... I want to go see a movie.
Go by yourself - it is the sign of a self-confident person that he or she can attend a movie by his/herself.
I've done it many times and never felt like a loser. At all.
I adore going to the movies by myself. I can slouch down in my seat and cackle to myself at obscure bits only I think are funny or sigh foolishly without anyone asking why.
Going to the movies with friends is fun, but I love to go alone too, and I find I usually get more out of a movie if I see it by myself.
