Yeah, great film. Almost as funny and sweet as Napoleon Dynamite.
Buffista Movies 3: Panned and Scanned
A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Yes, in that it still leaves you with the question as to whether or not it's going to work out between them, but I was hoping they'd leave it a little more unsure and end it just before that last moment.
I finally saw Blade: Trinity. Truly one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The only reason I didn't walk out was that someone else drove to the theater. Well, that, and I was waiting for Ryan Reynolds to take his shirt off. Awesome body. Now if his character would've just SHUT UP. That's a character whose best accessory is a ball gag.
I think you should listen to the commentary, Alicia. The way it was explained, I don't see how they would have been able to do it the way you wanted. However, I do have to say that I was completely expecting him to just leave, go back to LA and never see Sam again.
I can't wait to watch Garden State with commentary. The hairs on the back of my neck still stand up when 'Let Go' starts.
Signed,
I have an abnormal, deep, and entirely too emotional connection to this movie.
Oops, too late. My copy of Garden State is already on its way back to Netflix. Alas. I'll take your guys' word for it.
I saw The Life Aquatic on NYE, and I muchly liked it, if I did find it a little rambling. It has many great moments, and I thought the acting was all great.
I saw The Life Aquatic last night. Loved it. Funny and sad. I loved how Steve Zizou was utterly honest all the way through it, even when it made him look bad.
Watching Garden State with the roomie now. She isn't loving it.
Cereal:
I don't care. Third time, and I still get full out chills when the song starts.
