Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

I can't even.

I'll probably see it, because swordfighting and knights and stuff. But I have to wonder about the wisdom of doing a movie about one of the Crusades while we're at war in the Middle East.

Pack it full of Brit actors, it isn't like they ever ... oh, wait.

Hire Canucks! It's the only way.

Art Crawl!!!

Bwah!

I liked the trailer -- it looks like fun.

After (finally) watching it (slow dial-up connection) - I suddenly wondered what's up with Alatriste?

It's in pre- production.

Hey, what about THE AQUATIC LIFE WITH STEVE I'mnevergonnagetthenamerightbutislikeZazou? More curious about who has or will see it because Wes Anderson + Bill Murray = Must See.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm very excited to see The Aquatic Life with Steve Zissou. Huge Wes Anderson fan here. Plus Owen Wilson! (Except he didn't write any of this one, which I think will be problematic. I like what Owen adds to Wes' scripts.)

Also very excited to see Bad Education. Favorite Almodovar though is still Labyrinth of Desire.

Eh, the fact that Owen is still in the movie goes a long way towards mitigating the fact that he didn't co-write the movie.

Busy actor boy he is. Not-great movies actor boy, but whatchya gonna do?

Is anyone but me excited about seeing Bad Education?

Me! I'm going to see it tomorrow. Today I saw House of Flying Daggers (finally). Ziyi Zhang is still just as gorgeous as ever. She almost looks unreal, she's so beautiful.

Yes, but other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?

Well, I enjoyed it but I didn't find myself really drawn into the story. Ziyi was the best thing about the movie - great performance and see above re: that beauty thing. I liked Hero better, which I know is a minority opinion.

Cool. That's what I'm curious to here because I thought HERO was just about the best film I saw last year, so it's going to be hard to beat.

There are a few I haven't seen yet (SIDEWAYS, THE INCREDIBLES), but the only thing that REALLY sticks out (I liked HELLBOY a lot, but it's not favorite movie material) is ...THE FUCKING CHARLIE KAUFMANN MOVIE I JUST BRAIN FARTED ON, DAMMIT!!!! IMMORTAL SUNSHINE...? ETERNAL SADNESS...? FRELL!!!!!

Anyway, glad to hear the new one is good.

muttermuttermutter and I LOVED that movie!!!!!
