I only saw the trailer for Cars, which looks... unimpressive.

Buffista Movies 3: Panned and Scanned
A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Dadgum!
I love that the lamb was tap dancing on ant island from A Bug's Life.
D'oh. I completely missed that.
I t heart A Bug's Life!
I just went to imdb to check out Gary Rydstrom (and his resume is quite the impressive list of films), and saw that Buffy season 7 is out.
I just want to thank you all for talking me into Netflix. Thanks.
Like I said, green is not his color.
::shudder:: That's pretty dorky.
Boundin' is my new favorite Pixar short.
Huh. I was really annoyed at being delayed from the movie I came to see. But I'm a curmudgeon.
this week's Nova is about the real story behind The Great Escape.
Kathy, I'm planning to watch that too. The Great Escape remains one of my favorite movies. Plus, the bit about Steve McQueen's character (Capt. Hilts) and the covertly brewed alcohol was taken from the story of a distant cousin, Col. Jerome Jonathon "Jerry" (Jessup) Sage.
eta: Very distant, I just looked it up: he was my Dad's 5th cousin

Ahh....I always look forward to the shorts just as much as the movie.
I'm watching TAR tonight, so I'll be catching Nova in a rerun, probably over the weekend. I have the DVD for Great Escape, and it has a making-of doc on it that goes into a bit of the real-life story, but not enough for me. I really love Great Escape, as well as other WWII films like The Dirty Dozen, A Road Too Far (saw this one in the theater, IIRC), and of course, HBO's Band of Brothers.
