Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

Buffista Movies 3: Panned and Scanned

A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Wow. It looks like the Sun-Times has put all of Roger Ebert's film reviews online.

Art Crawl!!!

It looks like there will be two composers scoring Batman Begins.

And DB really is doing that movie with Henry Thomas.

Art Crawl!!!

The folks at TORN have set up a website for Peter Jackson's King Kong.

Another mention of the Whedon/X-men movie rumor and another from TV Guide.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

The thing is, Willy Wonka and Blazing Saddles are the only times he didn't play hysterical. He is FABULOUS when he isn't being hysterical.

Well, there's his bit work in Bonnie & Clyde, too. He wasn't hysterical in that, was he? (Seriously, it's been a number of years since I've seen it.)

Well, please let me know, Fred. I caught the end on TCM at the beginning of the year, and it reminded me what I like and don't like about it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, please let me know, Fred. I caught the end on TCM at the beginning of the year, and it reminded me what I like and don't like about it.

I like that it inspired a Serge Gainsbourg song. I like Gene Hackman in it.

Shhh, I don't want to unduly influence Fred. But he'd be insane not to be amazed by Gene Hackman's performance. One other general remark: it isn't half the movie that Thieves Like Us is.
