Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

At least one of Gene Wilder's best performances was in Young Frankenstien.

I was just going to say what quester said. In fact, I think it IS Wilder's best performance.

His Willy Wonka was a thing of genius though.

If I only had a brain...

The thing is, Willy Wonka and Blazing Saddles are the only times he didn't play hysterical. He is FABULOUS when he isn't being hysterical.

I'd say he played hysterical in Willy Wonka some of the time (the tunnel scene and the confrontation with Charlie before he gave back the gobstopper). I also think he played non-hysterical in Young Frankenstein at enough points where it made the hysterical funnier.

eta In fact I think it was his hysterical moments that made Willy Wonka seem just more than a little dangerous.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I don't consider that hysterical so much as fucking creepy with a side of anger.

Well, in that case, he did a lot of that in Young Frankenstein, except substitute obsessed with a side of really fucking funny.

He also did some hysterical there, but a lot of it was definitely obsessed instead.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Wow. It looks like the Sun-Times has put all of Roger Ebert's film reviews online.

Art Crawl!!!

It looks like there will be two composers scoring Batman Begins.

And DB really is doing that movie with Henry Thomas.
