Buffy: A Guide, but no water or food. So it leads me to the sacred place and then a week later it leads you to my bleached bones? Giles: Buffy, really. It takes more than a week to bleach bones.

If I only had a brain...

I do not like Tobey MacGuire. Let the shunning begin.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Imagine him saying it while wearing Scorpius' outfit.

Damn you, now D'Argo's replaced Worf in this scenario. Ewww.

But after some of the Farscape eps, I can picture D'Argo saying "It's my happening and it freaks me out" without too much trouble.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I do not like Tobey MacGuire. Let the shunning begin.

Lots of people didn't like Tobey until Spider-Man.

Personally, I like him fine, especially in Wonder Boys.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Wonder Boys, Pleasantville, and Cider House Rules. And Seabisquit.

Okay, so I like him.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I think Tobey Maguire is funnylooking, and is way too old for his repertoire of "I am only a high school boy and totally boggled by this big world" tricks, but do not actively hate him.

I think he is most effective when he is playing disaffected stoner, and is quite ineffective as The Hero.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I was behind 1500 posts here but just threadsucked to see if there was any talk of Garden State and.... nothin'!

I saw it Sunday and loved it. Parts of it felt too cliché, especially the ending, and parts seemed a bit too "clever", but there are so many great individual moments, that the bits I didn't like seem trivial in comparison.

I also saw the Metallica movie. My new favorite word is "stock".

Art Crawl!!!

I want to see Garden State but so far it looks like it's not playing here -- just in a few theatres in Chicago and the north 'burbs.

That's the key. I liked it in Pleasantville, but it got really, really old (as did he) by Spider-Man 2.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

He did a good job in Ride with the Devil, portraying a kid aged too quickly by horrors in the Civil War.
