The only reason to see Blade II is because Wesley Snipes is cool.
This I agree with, plus the idea of vampires that feed off other vampires is kind of cool, but very poorly done.

A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

There's one other: Kris Kristofferson. When Whister broke free and jumped into the air ducts, my immediate thought was "You only thought you had trouble with Blade running loose. Now the guy that's been killing vampires three times as long with NO supernatural powers is about to go Die Hard on your undead asses!"
I went to see Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle tonight. Utterly preposterous sequence of events, but that didn't keep it from being hilarious. Particularly the dream sequences. And when did Kal Penn become hot?
I could not stop groaning through Blade II. That gutteral, grief-driven, You Have Ripped The Heart From Me, kind of groaning that nothing but a screw-it-up sequel to something great can evoke.
Let's see. What are other contenders?
You get the idea.
You didn't like Star Trek: First Contact? Wow, a tough audience indeed.
Yahoo is reporting that Eric Bana will be the next James Bond.
Wow, an Italian-Australian James Bond. When Bana retires they'll be looking for a Jamaican-Scotsman, followed by a Polynesian-Irishman.
...just a bit of contempt.
A worthy feeling, ita. Mark Read is full of shit. His autobiography is supposedly full of fantasy. Bana did give an amazing performance though.
Just watched X-Men and X2. Again.
The third movie could not possibly come soon enough.
Saw Bourne Supremacy. I was Supremely Bored. Which is sad. I was so looking forward to it.
I thought Bana was amazing in Chopper. I saw it in the theater, which kept me with the movie even though I really disliked the main character and everyone around him. I ended up liking the film a lot, but probably wouldn't have stuck with it if I'd seen it at home.

That's disappointing to hear. I loved the books and thought the first movie was decent.
I liked the second movie, better than the first. At least I knew not to go in comparing it to text.
I liked the jiggly camera effect -- I remembered to sit back from my normal spot, and it just made stuff feel all verite and shit.
I wish there'd been more hand to hand, but, eh. The fight scenes won't go down in the history books. Can't argue with offing Potente -- that's my kind of driver.
I need to submit Karl Urban for second place in the "You know my face...from those three hobbit movies...cast me!" awards. Nice job. Also liked how almost scrawny he was, compared to his turn in Riddick Chronicles.
Do not like Julia Stiles -- she's a potato with a very small nose. Do like Matt, thought he did a great determined and just-short-of-pissed job. Joan Allen was pretty good too, and Agamemnon was all you could ask him to be.
Also, maybe next time more shirtlessness -- I can get more tasty man-pec from a 2 and a half minute Usher video.
Mark Read is full of shit.
I will say Bana conveyed this very well. I got the feeling that Chopper really wanted me to watch the movie, but I found I was just as able to roll my eyes at him while they were watching something else.
