Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Good news for network support and no Friday death slot, but on a more selfish note... it's gonna end up starting in the summer when I have no tv, isn't it? Damn.

Hey. New board.

My biggest problem with the whole "parents, God and Ayn Rand" thing is... well, actually, I have a two-fold problem with it.

First, Ayn Rand would be very very annoyed at somebody thanking her and God in the same breath.

Second, the idea of God and Ayn Rand having a baby is about as scary an idea as I can imagine. Do we really want the next son of God to be a libertarian and objectivist? That seems like an anti-christ waiting to happen.

What is even happening?

I'm told Friday is out.
It's Christmas already, and I haven't done my shopping!

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I'm told Friday is out.

The whole Fox thing still freaks me out. I think I won't really believe the not-Friday-night-thing until I see the whites of its eyeballs on another night. OK, bad metaphor. Still, launching off season seems promising to me. I mean, Grey's Anatomy seems to be doing pretty well, and it just launched. Plus, for purely selfish reasons, it would mean that I would get to see what Allyson's been talking about sooner!

Did you need an extra comma in there, Gris? As in "parents, God, and Ayn Rand"? 'Cause that's how I read it.

If I only had a brain...

My biggest problem with the whole "parents, God and Ayn Rand" thing is... well, actually, I have a two-fold problem with it.

Um, it's the time-honored joke about the serial comma.

The question is, is it right to say "I'd like to thank Tom, Dick, and Harry" or to say "I'd like to thank Tom, Dick and Harry". Some organizations do it one way, some the other. The "parents... Rand" phrase is the standard example of why the second comma (known as the serial comma) is important.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I don't see Rand settling down with someone who wanted it to be all about Him.

Comma cross-post. Heh.
