All is well that ends in pizza.

From the responses to author Peter David's Smallville ending blog:

"In an ironic twist, all the actors whose characters' fates are in doubt demand more money and are replaced with members of the former cast of 'Angel.'"

Except Tom Welling, who is replaced by former "Friends" star Matthew Perry ("Could I *be* any more superhuman?"), after Perry learns that he has no future in movies whatsoever.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

We said goodbye to her in Chosen. I felt a bit angry at the concept of using her as a bone for the vampires to fight over. She's my girl, yo. Leave her be.

The last smile in Chosen, when she was finally free? I like leaving her there and knowing she's living her life out in the world and I didn't appreciate the idea of the hair double standing in for my hero.

This this this. That is exactly what was bothering me about it, but I was having trouble articulating it. Thank you for explaining it so well, Allyson.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Jengod says the animated Buffy is still in the works. That so?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Re-posted from Boxed Set:

Hee. So let's see - DB has gotta be Clark. I nominate AD for Lex (even though JAR has part of the look already going). AA for Chloe or Lana? Maybe she can play both! Fred!AA for Chloe and Illyria!AA for Lana. Hmm, nobody really fits for Papa Kent, though. Maybe JM (heh!)? That leaves JAR, Andy and MM (maybe she can be Chloe).

The ages are problematic, but I don't see it as any more monkey-crack-addled than some of the SV storylines.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

That so?

Yeppers.

Up with the sun

I sound like a heartless asshole, re: cancellation.

I'll join you in the Heartless Asshole corner, Allyson. I have a hard time getting mad at network execs for doing their jobs, even if I wish they had been able to make a different choice.

Looking back at the last three episodes, I think that Deknight was telling the truth when he said that SMG was never supposed to be in TGiQ. I think Angel and Spike were supposed to stalk her, not see her, and then the next week she appears at W&H a little pissed off and talks to Angel about the mission. His scenes with Nina were probably the Buffy substitute scenes.

In my Buffyverse, Angel and Buffy don't sleep together, again.

My my. I've gotten awfully mama bear about my Buffy in the past year.

I don't think they would have slept together, I just think that the scenes would have functioned the same way. To show us his reflections on what he's become.
