Aaah. It's from her name. I just thought she was divine.

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Oh. I'm dumb. That makes much sense, then.

Not dumb, just new. You can't be born knowing everything.
I just thought she was divine.
Of course she is.

But I tried. Oh, how I tried.
Where're their other hands? I imagine them picking each other's pockets.
I don't really like Joss endlessly bitching about Angel being cut short, either. I mean, they gave him time to wrap things up, and he essentially wasted an episode with the goofy Rome crap.
I did like the end of the show for the themes discussed here: the importance of the fight and the relative morality of noble actions. I especially liked the Wild Bunch heroicism of choosing a losing battle on moral grounds, because the choice to fight for a particular cause and against a particular form of evil should be reason enough to suffer all hell raining down.
Living in hayden's brain, am i.
Listening to the Firefly extras one night I remember Joss saying that because they were running on fumes and could be struck down at any moment, every second of film was a precious thing, and so every episode had to tell the story from the rawest emotional point.

Well, this is really two different issues. In the first issue, I don't see endless bitching about it, just endless rehashing here of the same one or two places he bitched.
The second is the Rome issue. I still think that it was a good episode, and if they'd actually been able to get SMG involved, it might have been a good way to say goodbye to her. As it was . . . . Not good for the 3rd to last episode.
We said goodbye to her in Chosen. I felt a bit angry at the concept of using her as a bone for the vampires to fight over. She's my girl, yo. Leave her be.
The last smile in Chosen, when she was finally free? I like leaving her there and knowing she's living her life out in the world and I didn't appreciate the idea of the hair double standing in for my hero.
I sound like a heartless asshole, re: cancellation.
