Actually, I was confused as to what was meant by "spoiler" and thought that as written it seemed that any spoilers of any kind (i.e. even before airing) would be fair game if I voted yes but "no whitefont ever." By the time I got to the end of the thread to say that might be more clear, the ballot was already up.

Granted, it's been a busy week, but I thought I was keeping up until that happened.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Other than the spoiler question, I thought it was pretty clear.

I agree, except that the way I interpreted the whitefont issue (that is, I hate whitefont but didn't want to see real spoilers in there) almost made me vote no on everything, when in fact I do want some sort of TV thread despite being somewhat anti-proliferation.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

No need to snap.

Sorry, I didn't mean to come across that way.

I don't know how the ballot itself could have been made simpler, but it is clear how each voter could have made sure they understood it.

What ita said.

Seconding Jon's seconding of ita. And I was going to ask for clarification about the ballot in Bureau when Vortex beat me to it.

I certainly didn't mean to suggest that because I was confused things should have been done differently. It was more wishful thinking that I wasn't the only one.

Well, it's hardly the first time I've been confused by things that other people found transparent.

And my vote alone clearly wouldn't have made a difference. So.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

things that other people found transparent.

No one is saying the ballot was transparent -- just that it's important for all b.org to realise the opportunity for getting clarification exists both during and after the wording selection.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think Consuela's right that if the ballot were constructed with just a simple clear option instead of a smorgasboard of choices it might've done better. It's kind of a strategic choice, but it seems to me like in the past people have used the Lightbulb portion to find out which is the most popular of a series of choices - where the consensus already had some traction - and crafted the ballot accordingly.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

My immediate reaction is: This is really discouraging. It would have been nice to hear some of these suggestions ahead of time. Now there's nothing to do.

I should have gone with my instincts and not proposed this at all because it feels like a failure. I wish I had known there was such a lack of interest because I wouldn't have gone forward.
