A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

It was a week, I think. But it's different in that you still had the Buffy thread to talk about Buffy and the Angel thread to talk about Angel. With Box Set, there's no equivilent.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Normally I'd agree with Debet, but in this case with the shows airing back to back, I think whitefonting wouldn't get too complicated. I'd say either whitefont until the start of West Coast broadcast,`or, if we want things to go black all at the same time, maybe whitefont until 10 pm board time.

Again as a west coaster, I'll just say this doesn't seem necessary. We know to get out of the show threads when it's airing east coast time. It's no hardship to skip out of a thread for a few hours.

Our wings are not tired.

Spoiler font is not an issue for me, but it is up to the left coasters in my mind. Watch 'n Post real time for the east coast happens in the Lost thread in black font. Personally, if it were a OMGWTF moment on BSG I would spoiler font it before West coast viewing.

Agreeing with Laura and brenda. If the west coasters want to be able to jump in the thread and comment without fear of spoiling during their airtime, then continuing to whitefont throught west coast viewing is easy peasy. It's a different convention compared to the other threads, but it's kind of what we do in Boxed Set now anyway so no huge change there.

Are there west coasters who want this? I haven't taken a poll but I don't. ND doesn't. I think caveat lector is the simplest, easiest way. I appreciate the spoiler sensitivity on this board, but it's not the be-all. Discussion is.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I appreciated it greatly. But I fear that the opening of the thread to more shows is going to make it unworkable for me in general, so it'd be a straw for a drowning poster.

Not so far as I've seen voicing an opinion here yet (ETA: except for ita, but even then with a caveat). Which means it'll likely just go balckfont, which is fine. In fact, I deleted the "Though, by my read, there isn't a lot of clamoring for this from the west coasters. Is there, er, silent clamoring going on?" from my post, because the whole point of this is for people to chime in with their opinions, so I didn't need to ask again.

I think there's going to need to be some new quality (or snarkable) sci-fi/fantasy television before there's going to be any new shows turning up in there. About the only thing I can think of will be the new Dr. Who. And I suspect conversation about any shows like that would have ended up there anyway.

It seemed like the re-purposing was more to make the description accurate to how the thread's being used currently - I didn't see a lot of clamoring for discussion of shows that weren't already being discussed in there.

And, as noted upthread, it was already unwieldy for me. Now that there's no chance of it going back to workable, I'm not going to bother to keep subscribed.
