A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.

But I fear that the opening of the thread to more shows is going to make it unworkable for me in general, so it'd be a straw for a drowning poster.
I think there's going to need to be some new quality (or snarkable) sci-fi/fantasy television before there's going to be any new shows turning up in there. About the only thing I can think of will be the new Dr. Who. And I suspect conversation about any shows like that would have ended up there anyway.
It seemed like the re-purposing was more to make the description accurate to how the thread's being used currently - I didn't see a lot of clamoring for discussion of shows that weren't already being discussed in there.

And, as noted upthread, it was already unwieldy for me. Now that there's no chance of it going back to workable, I'm not going to bother to keep subscribed.

Speaking of which, an episode of the new Dr. Who has leaked, and is currently being torrented. Not that anyone I know would do such a thing.
It just might come up sooner than anticipated, is my point.

But that would definitely be a white-font situation (unaired in the US, etc.).
Our policy has never been to discuss unaired episodes of any show in blackfont, except in Spoilers.

or what Frank said.
This west coaster is perfectly happy to let discussion go blackfont as soon as the show's aired on the east coast.
I figure I watch everything but Lost on tape delay of at least a few hours anyway, so whatever works best for everyone is fine by me.
Same here Matt. Almost every Friday night I have some conflict that prevents me from tuning into SciFi. I tape and catch up through the weekend as possible. I often read the thread before then to be taunted.
Do you think we are consensing or confusing?
It sounds like most of the objections are "other people might have issues with" things.
If that's not the case, please speak up. Otherwise, I say we call it bullshitted. Can I get a "Word Up"?
