I'm for more stealth. I want to be more under the radar rather than less.

And I love the new title of this new thread. It's shiny!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Terminology check:

Yes?

If so, slugs are googleable, descriptions are not.

Up with the sun

Thanks, ita.

In that case, replace "Wonderfalls" with "that show" in the slug. Or, you know, something clever-er.

I'm not feeling very clever today.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Do we absolutely need to have a slug? Can't we just have a title and a description?

slug... howabout:

Spoilers Inside!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We're already in the top 50 sites returned by Google for wonderfalls spoilers. Mentioning the show in the slug isn't going to change that much.

But are we, I still don't know, trying to hide from people at our front page for other reasons, or from searchers?

Kristen - Apr 14, 2004 12:48:08 pm PDT #41 of 10001

I can't speak for anyone else but I'm hiding from people.

I understand that urge, but think it's going to be more trouble than anything else. I mean, we're still announcing the thread in Press, right? In Minearverse?

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

Mentioning the show in the slug isn't going to change that much.

Yes, it will -- part of what Google indexes on is proximity of words.

we're still announcing the thread in Press, right? In Minearverse?

Thread pages are blocked from search spiders.

I know -- but not from people, which was Kristen's contention.

Also, I stand by the idea that we're not going to move up too many spots if Wonderfalls is in the slug -- the word spoilers isn't, after all.
