What is even happening?

Is there any reason we couldn't use the Buffista community LJ? I know that's not what it's there for, but it's there. And free.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

A lot of people aren't on LJ, though -- as a place to look for an announcement of where to find us, it's fine, but for any extended discussion, nsm.

That's true, amy. I was just thinking that now that LJ registration doesn't require an invite code, and is free, that it's not too far removed from joining PF.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

We can still use WX, depending on what the contingency is. It wouldn't work long-term, since free users are limited to 10 posts a day, but it's still available.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

ita, Lance is currently getting a severe cluesticking. Whether it'll do any good, who knows?

So yeah, a secondary backup might not be a bad idea.

Our wings are not tired.

You can still read and post in LJ without actually being registered, right? I could be making this up because I am registered.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Yes, you can.

Up with the sun

You can post comments anonymously, but I don't think you can make community entries without a registration.

I think it would probably work as a contingency plan for a day or so. Registration is free, so I agree that it wouldn't be that different from joining Peoplesforum or WX.

hip deep in pie

I don't think LJ is really a viable contingency. Long comments threads are meddening to navigate, and I think the threadedness would drive us mad. It might work for announcements, but not for regular posting.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Agree with Sue - and the anonymous posting bit could make it even harder to follow.
