Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And on the spoiler topic -- I see a place (uh, in my life) for a thread where spoilers of any type are whitefonted. I'm an utter tramp for some shows, and prudish about others.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

See, I want the prudish spoilers for Lost. For Alias? I want to wallow nekkid in the filth. Howsomever, there will be hard-core spoilers for Lost there, also. So, I will probably just haunt Jess's lj to get the goods on Alias and just stay out of the fun, slutty thread. Sigh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You're doing one for amazon.com, right Jesse? I'd just as well not have to deal with allocating my wobblymusic earnings.

Sure. Give me a sec.

Jesse, I've created a link category for affiliates -- you want to put stuff there as you register?

Will do.

They really want us to be using their banners and shit, but this should do it for amazon.com:

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

buffistasor0d-20?

Is that a typo?

No, that's it. Possibly there was a way to get the same ID at all the amazons, but I don't know what it is -- I signed in the same way each time.

Also, I can't seem to move the links around? I click edit and they don't move.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Count me in for approving bringing back spoilers lite.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I have a proposal up in BBB that might make it moot.

Gus is looking into a method of individual users being able to "turn off" whitefont, basically making it blackfont.

This would allow us to serve both masters in one thread, if it works.

Up with the sun

The problem with a code-based solution -- and I don't want to sound like I'm disregarding their work, here -- is that it can only come into practice as quickly as Gud, ita, et. al. can get it up, and I know there are other things they have going on. The check-box will be a great solution when/if we get it, but a spoilers lite thread would be useful right away.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I don't think turning off the white font really addresses the issue. Spoiler slutting is different culturally than spoiler lite. A hardcore spoiler thread will be about discussion - it won't work if some people are reading some things and some people are reading everything.

People who spoiler slut are (to generalize - not meaning to speak for everybody) not as invested in narrative surprise and are more interested in getting to the re-read, the mulling over, the speculation, the watching the patterns emerge. I'd still be required to white font and be careful about what I'm saying - which is not the point of the spoilers thead at all.
