What should I do, then? Send her a gift? Sacrifice? … Unholy fruit basket?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm unclear how it could be doubted that they matter.

Only reptiles with pop songs written about them matter. Didn't you get the memo?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Only reptiles with pop songs written about them matter. Didn't you get the memo?

Pfft. They can change colour, they can move their eyes independently of each other, and they have a bone in their tongue.

They cannot be judged by paltry musical taste.

Not javachik

Huh, 47 people wanted to not be in heat and humidity in May.

23 did.

What was wrong with ranking, again?

If I only had a brain...

Huh, 47 people wanted to not be in heat and humidity in May.

You can't tell that. 47 people preferred another site to New Orleans. Not all of those 47 people dislike New Orleans per se.

True.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

47 people wanted to not be in heat and humidity in May.

Is that why they all voted the way they did? I figured some of them may have other criteria on their list too.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Huh, 47 people wanted to not be in heat and humidity in May.

That can't be extrapolated from the results.

True. Nor can we extrapolate that this is not the case. But with ranking, we could! For such situations, where no option gets close to 50% of the vote, was preferential voting designed!!

Nah, just ignore me. I can't attend the next one anyway. Ranking gave us the Sydney Olympics.

Sorry. Stopping now.

Perhaps some people decided that there were other things to consider than the weather.
