I hate to break it to you, oh impotent one, but you're not the big bad anymore, you're not even the kind of naughty.

F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

How about this: we have the simple, straight-up vote, and if it turns out to be a remarkably close finish, then we consider a would/would not attend vote to determine the winner.

Our wings are not tired

Can someone pull the pricing info out of a threadsuck? I've got the phone ringing off the hook here right now and won't get to it for about an hour. Once we've got the pricing info we can assemble the ballot.

Posts containing pricing info (I'm not clear on what information we're talking about inserting into the ballot, but I assume it's in these posts):

Our wings are not tired

Okay, so here we go, let's see how this looks for a test ballot.

Please choose one of the following cities for F2F 2005. We have done preliminary research in each city and have included brief information in this ballot. The prices listed below are gathered from a variety of sources and are best used as a guideline. In some cases they are from a specific hotel that seems like a good option in others they are an aggregate of information from multiple hotels. Once we choose our cities we will get full bids from as many hotels as possible and choose and book a site. For more information please look at this post in the F2F thread.

Kansas City

Room Rates $65-120
No Parking Fees
Prom Suite as low as $100 without catering requirements
Hospitality Suite $150/night

Toronto

Room Rates $115/night
Parking $12/day
Prom Room $600

Minneapolis

Room Rates $89-$109
Hospitality Suite $300-$400
Parking $14 weekdays $9 weekends at some downtown locations
Prom may require catering due to unions at some hotels. Prices on prom may run $200-$500

New Orleans

Room Rates $109 is most typical (as low as $69 and up to $219)
Hospitality Suite $200/weekend
Prom $300 and this might be waived with catering
Parking $28/day

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Noise, the catering is only an issue with one hotel. I haven't firmed up the other bids yet, but prom will be somewhere between $200-500.

Same with the parking (it's only an issue with one hotel).

You'll probably want to put a note about the Canadian/US rate of exchange in Toronto's dossier, as well.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Looks good to me, ND.
