Our wings are not tired

Great rates on both of those, one is in Downtown, which is about 8 miles away from The Plaza which is kinda the hot spot for bars and restaurants and such, the other one is on the North end of KC and seems like it would be a bit of a drive in from the 'burbs to hit stuff in the city.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for three hotels on the Plaza to respond. Ideally that's where I'd like to stay. Can't recall if any of them had jacuzzi suites though.

So weird, P-C. I checked flight prices on Expedia earlier this week and they were quite a bit cheaper, at least for a few of the airports. Does anyone know if the prices fluctuate depending on what day of the week you look?

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

Nice to see that KC is still on the slate after my two months of off-time. Haven't been down to the Plaza in a few years, but would welcome an excuse to. Likewise Westport, where the best bars/coffee shops are.

Ft Lauderdale to KC - $221. This seems to be about how much it is for me to fly anywhere.

Woo! I had to skip 700 posts for reading later to jump to recent to see how things were progressing. So preferential voting shortly?

KC is looking mighty attractive to me. Not as close as Minneapolis, but 487 miles is drivable in one day. Plus, jacuzzi suites.

Who? moi??

Flying on Tuesday thru Thursdays is generally cheaper. Also -sometimes- if you log on a few minutes after midnight (don't know the time zone) on Wednesday, you sometimes hit fantastic sales. Sometimes.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Dallas is going to continue to get more 'spensive with Delta pulling out of DFW. For some reason, I'm thinking KC is driveable anyway.

Hmm. 8 hours + that's not too bad.

I consider anything under 10 hours an easy day's drive.

Of course my ideas of distance might be a little frelled.
