Ft Lauderdale to KC - $221. This seems to be about how much it is for me to fly anywhere.
Woo! I had to skip 700 posts for reading later to jump to recent to see how things were progressing. So preferential voting shortly?

KC is looking mighty attractive to me. Not as close as Minneapolis, but 487 miles is drivable in one day. Plus, jacuzzi suites.
Flying on Tuesday thru Thursdays is generally cheaper. Also -sometimes- if you log on a few minutes after midnight (don't know the time zone) on Wednesday, you sometimes hit fantastic sales. Sometimes.
Dallas is going to continue to get more 'spensive with Delta pulling out of DFW. For some reason, I'm thinking KC is driveable anyway.
Hmm. 8 hours + that's not too bad.
I consider anything under 10 hours an easy day's drive.
Of course my ideas of distance might be a little frelled.
I prefer 6 and under, but 8 or 9 is still doable. I drove from Dallas to DC once.
I did Los Angeles to Spokane in one shot solo. Did San Diego to Spokane and vice versa many times in one shot with a second driver to trade off.
After Minneapolis, I had to downgrade my one day's drive from 19 to 13 hours.
Of course my ideas of distance might be a little frelled.
exactly. whereas I think anything over three is a pain the ass. But, now that I have the shiny new car, maybe not.

Me too, but I am a total travel wuss, so don't mind me.
