Did it open up your eyes, juliana? Life is demanding, without understanding. No one's gonna drag you up, to get into the light where you belong.

F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!
The Nilly-no pics thing isn't bandwidth. It's not doing that - It clicks immediately to a document called "(untitled') and I get a blank page.
Son of a BITCH.
Lots of people are having problems with the pics, Deb. Apparently this does happen when folks swarm a Yahoo pics page.
Somewhere on this board a link to one picture was posted. I followed that and got all of the pictures.
Looks to me like Nilly had a good time!
New Orleans looks like $100-$120/night, or $69.99 in Metairie. I got around 15 proposals in that range and several more that were higher (some of which offer nifty things like nightly wine tastings with massage).
i'm sure we've mentioned the vampire/voodoo/cemetery/swamp tours, the bars, the coffee shops, the restaurants. The beignets, the muffalettas, the sazeracs and hand grenades. We also have minor league baseball (with nutria as mascots!), museums (art, history, pharmacy, etc.), and river boats. And much much more...

-t, is it easy to take public transportation from Metairie to touristy areas? I don't remember it being that way, but my experience is 20 years old and thus not to be trusted too far.

Ooooooooooooooooh.
is it easy to take public transportation from Metairie to touristy areas?
I wouldn't think it's super-easy. The buses have never been fabulous.
Oh, yeah. Here's the link to the Minneapolis proposal:

Dana, I have fond memories of the (St. Charles) streetcar, though I don't remember it as being terribly quick. It comes fairly close to the near edge of Metairie -- but I doubt there are hotels in that neighborhood.
