Sheryl, what is your exact schedule? I do hope we'll get to meet.
We leave for Boston on Sep. 3. As you will be in Boston Aug 23-25, I
won't see you there. I will see you in DC, as you'll be there from Aug 30- Sep 2, which is before I leave.
It works out very nicely.
Jacqueline, I may well take you up on the pre-BBQ prep. It's not arduous stuff, just boring as hell: mostly getting out in the morning in funky clothes and setting the chairs one by one atop our outdoor sump-pump big drain, spraying the chairs with some nice organic compound, letting them sit for a minute, hosing them off, and patting them dry with paper towels.
It's insanely tedious, though. Be warned. And it's the one thing I never have time to do properly, what with food prep and all.
I missed that La Tep was going to San Fran! Yay!
Definitely definite Teppitude in San Francisco? That is awesome!
99% definite -- I still have to actually book the plane ticket.
(The spare couch offer still stands--we have a newer used couch than at your last visit, guaranteed 100% not broken in the middle--but it has to be the couch, as it's an Emmett weekend and the bed will be occupied by boyness).
I really don't want to be underfoot, like the Space Hobo that I am.
Dude. Underfoot is not a problem (plus, provides impetus for more cleaning and organizing). Consult only your own comfort level in this.
Jess, and other allergic types, are very welcome to stay.
Sparky, is this offer still good? I may have found an affordable flight...
Currently, the itinerary I'm looking at has me coming into SFO at 10:30 Thursday night (and I totally understand if nobody wants to drive out to the airport that late, so I've got no problem cabbing it), leaving Sunday mid-morning.
Sweet! I'll email you when I know more.
Another member of the stairwell contingent checking in. Katerina, are you coming to the Nilly-Q?
Sweet! I'll email you when I know more.
The profile addy is good; just let me know what your plans are and we'll get you from the airport back to Berkeley.
All these stair-lurkers. I'll be the one in the garden, luring them out with food aromas...
