'Day' is a vestigial mode of time measurement based on solar cycles. It's not applicable. I didn't get you anything.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

I'm kind of with Aimee on this one. But I can't imagine it won't come without one, since every damned guest bedroom in the hotel certainly comes with one.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ok, it's looking like there might not be one there. I just called the regular hotel number and if she and I were understanding each other, then the penthouse is more like a meeting room - not a guest room.

I'm thinking I missed this detail. :) Ooops.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

She doesn't know if there's a TV in the room?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'd kinda hope that folks would tip him as they are buying drinks.

Just housekeeping then I guess. What about the people who bring up the food? Do we tip them?

Our wings are not tired

Do I sound safe in saying that barring the TV, if we collect $20/person for the prom we'll be in good shape? I've got my paypal all primed and ready to go and would like to get this rolling. Especially if some folks don't want to do paypal and want to mail me checks or anything like that, since if it doesn't get mailed by, well like Monday it may not get to me before I leave for DC on the 19th.

If the feeling is that we need a bit more cash to feel safe we can bump Prom up to $22 and that gives us a budget of $1430 instead of $1300. Input? Questions? Comments? I'd really like to put a post in press in the next 30 minutes or so telling people where they can send money for Prom so that this is underway.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'd do $22.

Mostly lurking...

Yeah...do $22...just to be safe.

Who went and saw the place?? Don't they know if there's a TV?

(And if we're renting a TV, won't we have to rent a DVD and VCR, too? Rather than me bringing mine from home? Or can we just do that surreptitiously)

Our wings are not tired

A DVD player is much easier to covertly get to the room. A TV, NSM.
