Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

move out and draw fire

Java, I volunteer to track arrivals/departures and make sure people have transport to/from the hotel. If you could send me your spreadsheet I'll just build onto that.

If people are arriving at Dulles or BWI and think they will need a ride, you can email me at vaire AT cox (not coxswain) dot net. I'll get a count and locations/times, and then hit up Fred and other localistas or figure out carpools.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Still in the "Kick husband until he seeks out deals on airfare" stage.

I'll research it for you! I will I will I will!

(Come onnnnnnn, Plei and Paul! Seattle needs representation in DC.)

t sending out general "come to the F2F. you really really want to come to teh F2F" vibes

It was the Wednsday before. And in fact, it was the day I met both aurelia and meara in person for the first time.

Huh, I didn't remember that was your birthday, Sean! But I remember the evening. :)

YAY for F2F! YAY for all the people coming!

Exorcist Steps! Yeehaw! The crew team used to have to run up and down them.

If it's any help Plei, I found a one-way Air Trans fare from Memphis to Boston on Expedia.com that was 25% lower than the best rate travel agents could give me.

Deb, Jet Blue is $218 non-stop SFO to Dulles roundtrip. I just booked 5/17 - 5/24.

Hey, I wanted to mention that we have an obligation to buy food/bev from the hotel (it works out to roughly $20/person, like last year) and while we've been talking about a buffet/reception for the Prom night, it doesn't have to be. We could have Saturday or Sunday brunch instead, or something.

meara - Apr 01, 2004 5:49:23 pm PST #121 of 9999

Ooh, brunch sounds kinda tempting...OTOH, we probably want foodish things around for the prom anyway, so...

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

We definitely want a bar for Prom, and IME, hotel party food is generally of a highter quality than hotel breakfast/brunch food.

Our wings are not tired

Bar at the prom. Cash bar I'm assuming.

I'd like munchies at the prom.

Hmm, I do want to do some camping back there. Someone will let me UPS my tent, bag, thermarest, hiking boots to their house in advance so I don't have to drag it around on the plane? I'm so used to the huge temperature drops at night out here, I'm not sure if a mid-weight poly sleeping bag is good enough for late-ish May or if I need a mid or heavy down bag. Any campers know?
