Bar at the prom. Cash bar I'm assuming.

I'd like munchies at the prom.

Hmm, I do want to do some camping back there. Someone will let me UPS my tent, bag, thermarest, hiking boots to their house in advance so I don't have to drag it around on the plane? I'm so used to the huge temperature drops at night out here, I'm not sure if a mid-weight poly sleeping bag is good enough for late-ish May or if I need a mid or heavy down bag. Any campers know?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hey. Unfortunately, no. I'm out. My major granting organization is coming to hear my kids plink at their pianos that Friday, so I have to schmooze and rehearse and soothe stage fright.

I think reception is the way to go.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

I think reception is the way to go.

Agreed,

Java, I already booked. I didn't even think of Jet Blue.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I'm not sure what a "reception" entails, but the price is right.

Does that include the bartender, or is that just food?

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Is there more detailed information about the net access? Because I'll gladly offer up my laptop as a semi-permanent station for email checking, posting, livejournal updating, as I did last year, if I know how to set it up and what cords to bring. My little contribution to the hosp. suite, et al.

And if people have digital cameras, if you bring the cord, you can drop them on my computer and upload them--we can make a yahoo photo thing or something--so that people who can't come can get a bit of the action.

I can probably bring a spare laptop with a a wireless card and as such set up a small wireless node in the hospitality suite.

Also, SA, I'm happy to allow use of my .mac space for photos. Between that and a laptop with iPhoto it's quick and easy to upload photo albums.

Now that I think of it I'll pack my spare iBook and a spindle of blank CD's and folks can easily burn disks with copys of other folks pictures.
