Wow. I have to say that was a kickass instrumental backing track they rigged out of "Helter Skelter" samples.
And with Valentine's-Day-appropriate lyrics to boot!
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Was it here that someone was talking about the new Jay-Z/Danger Mouse CD called "The Grey Album"?
I mentioned that RS loved it (it was in the 40th Beatles Anniv. issue). Thanks for the links - tracks #3, 5 and #8 are great.
OK. If anyone's interested I think I've managed to start one of those livejournal thingies and posted the track listing and liner notes.
To answer Joe from yesterday. I am liking the whole mix, but yes, Raspberry Girl & An Occasional Man are GREAT.

That next record (or should we say "cd"?) is now entitled "A ghost is born" and will, if the schedule holds, be released by Nonesuch in North America on June 8 and their affiliated labels virtually everywhere else in the world that same week. The track listing is as follows:
At least that's what you said
Hell is
Chrome
Spiders (kidsmoke)
Muzzle of Bees
Hummingbird
Handshake drugs
Company in my back
I'm a wheel
Wishful thinking
Late greats
Theologians
Less than you think

"99 problems" is my fave too.
Popping in to see if my first freaking CD has shown its sad face at Angus's place yet, as I'm planning on mailing two more tonight or tomorrow, and haven't seen a peep to indicate that it's there yet, so am considering throwing in another one JUST IN CASE!
(Why, no, I don't trust my postal service, the same ones who lost Deb's ginger cake. Why do you ask?)

Pretty big talk from someone who hadn't mentioned anything about receiving any CDs herself until just this moment.
