See, in my fantasy, when I'm kissing you... you're kissing me. It's okay. I can wait.

Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Almost forgot. When I was looking for the Greg Tate stuff I found rocklist.net's New Book of Rock Lists, which was fun because my copy of that is also in storage. It's not easy collecting books in New York. Loved this one. Check out number 5. Guess Rick Rubin wasn't solely responsible for all the Zep samples at Def Jam.

Yeah, it's a variation on Staggerlee where he makes a deal with the devil

Cf. the Robert Johnson section of Mystery Train.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Damn, who was sampling Stewart Copeland?

It Takes a Nation of Millions... is so dense that I wouldn't be surprised if the Bomb Squad threw in anything. "'Havin' My Baby'? Yeah, I can do something with that." So Zenyatta Mondatta doesn't throw me. Pick hits: "Louder Than a Bomb" and "Rebel Without a Pause"

Are you ready to be strong?

Jon, your wife is a very graceful writer.

I can vouch that she is a very graceful person altogether in both manner and speech.

She's soft-spoken and has a gentle manner. But she's kind of sly and appreciates playfulness too. She's observant and takes a lot of things in. She's quite smart, as you would surmise.

She's very pretty and it manifests in a very feminine way that's not girly at all.

I love her already.

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

If anyone wants the MP3s from that Staggerlee site, I have most of them; 27 versions, IIRC.
