Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

Thanks, Corwood. We were sorry you couldn't make it, too. That's Eliot on my left; his sister, Rose, Katherine's best friend, is on the right (FIL & SIL in the background.) You can now put a face to the message when you trade emails. He looks about six inches taller than I do, but that's just the photo. We're exactly the same height and I have a much bulkier build. Also, it took nearly four months, but I now have an answer to your question about ever updating my blog: yes.

msbelle, thanks, and I apologize. I thought MC was going bring you as her date/guest/sidekick, but when she cancelled a couple weeks before the wedding I completely spaced on asking you directly. We'll be having a party (or maybe a few) to get rid of some of the wine & beer left over from the reception & we'd love to have you there. (I was misinformed about how much was left when the caterers asked me if I wanted to take it home or to return it. They said three or four cases. Turned out to be nine cases of wine/liquor and six cases of beer.)

On a musical note (no pun intended), here's the band who played the wedding. There are a few clips, although the sound quality leaves something to be desired, and there are none from the EP, which is closer to what they played at the wedding - in fact they did a great rendition of "Moonlight Becomes You". I'm sending it to buffistarawk, but it doesn't seem to be going through. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. C'est la marriage.

woohoo, just bought tix to see Elvis Costello. I was bumming because I usually see him at least once a year when he plays NYC, but thought I would miss out this year, BUT NO. Turns out tix are the perfect birthday gift for my brother.

I'm still a bit bummed that Roky's playing the ACL Fest (his first live show in some 20-odd years) the year after I swore off it for good, and here I am, too stubborn to buy tickets again.

First, many congrats and happy wishes, joe!!

Second, thanks again for buying/mailing those CDs, Hec.

Third, I saw Wille Nelson and Bob Dylan last night for free (it was our office summer party). I have to say - Wille was fun but Dylan was amazing. I got chills like five times. Not just because he played "I Shall Be Released" and "Times they are A Changin'" - but because he was just plain rocking out and I was pretty close to the stage and I could see his eyes and he looked healthy and happy. It was great.

Sunday I am seeing the Wrens and the Decemberists at a music fest here. $15. Can't beat that.

I owe you CDs, don't I, Tina?

I wouldn't say you owe me, Corwood. But I did mention that I would like a copy of your last year-best-of mix. There was something else...just a sec...hmm searching the thread for "tina, CD, corwood" got me 232 results so...not that helpful.

I think there was something else but I just can't remember what it was.

BTW, this weekend I downloaded Oceans Apart (new Go-Betweens) from emusic and I'm enjoying it a lot.

That's a lot of results! I definitely have a year-end mix for you (it's like Xmas in July!), and would be more than happy to send you any number of other CDs.
