Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Shit! Andy from Linus? He's a great guy. We did a spoken word gig together once and he did a piece which included the line "she's been with women, I've been with men, there's no limitation on being feminine". Terrible band, lovely guy.

Up with the sun

Corwood -- your CD got here yesterday! Many thanks, I'll listen to it in the car today.

Cute bambino on the cover.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Red House Painters, Songs for a Blue Guitar (I just got a copy of it after not having it for while, man is it good).

I'm also a big fan of Kozelek's AC/DC covers.

Corwood, I got a big package of mixes from you yesterday.

I'm sorry, Jim. It didn't sound good.

The La Mala Educacion (Bad Education) soundtrack is good.

Did anyone pick up The Woods yet???? Didja, didja, huh?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

If "picked up" includes listening to it at my radio station and ripping it to my laptop's iTunes, then yes!

I haven't decided yet. I like that they're trying different stuff from their usual schtick, but I don't know if I like what they're trying. I need to listen to it more.

It's interesting to me that it's seen as such a departure because I don't see it as that much different. The main diff to me is the dirtier production, which can stay or go as far as I'm concerned. But even that isn't so jarring. I mean, it's S-K - they've always been loud and dissonant.
