Angel: Just admit it: you think you're gonna ride in, save the day, and sweep Buffy off her--Spike: Like you're not thinking the same thing. Angel: I'm already seeing somebody. Spike: What, dog girl?

'The Girl in Question'

Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Where is the Love?

Pfft. What's love got to do with it?

Love is all around. At least in Minneapolis. Or maybe just around Mary Tyler Moore. Or possibly just around Mary Richards.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

All you need is love.

Sorry to interrupt the chain-of-lyricness - a '70's pop-obsessed coworker is looking for a website which lists CD's that a particular recording appears on. After years of downloading songs, he has decided to procure recordings strictly legally, and buys from Napster. But there are lots of titles they can't procure for him - he'd like to find them either on compilation CD's or buy the album they appear on. I really admire his principles, but it sure is making things hard for him. Any ideas?

btw, he just stumped me with a cut off a compilation album - "As the Years Go By" by Mashmakhan. There are very few '70's pop songs that I can't remember ever hearing.

Love is a rose.

Love is a nose, but you better not pick it.
