Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Insent, P-C. Also we went to see a couple of bands last night. Actually we went to see one band but stayed for the second. The first was a friend of Mr. H's band. It's kinda a gothy punky thing called the Flickerstick Subs. The basist needs a Jili-like plush doll. She's got blonde dreadlocks and a babydoll face.

We stayed for the next band A Boy Named Sue because they had a fiddle, and I haven't been to see a band with a fiddle in a while. Loved, loved, loved them. They played a hoedown version of Donkee Butt I wish Aimee could have heard.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Tina - Thanks! You're the first person I know of who's used the podcast (I haven't really publicized it at all).

I've been recovering from a stomach flu (flu-addled show now available for podcast!) and I haven't had a chance to pick my song for the gmail thingie. I'll get to it soon but if the next person wants to jump ahead, feel free.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just signed up for a two week trial at emusic. I still have about 30 songs I can download. Anyone have any suggestions?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Perkins-- post some of your faves and then the collective music-mind can come up with a list of songs to round things out.

ION-BF is reviewing the new Stereophonics CD, so we've been listening to to it for the last few days. Very nice stuff.

Xposted in Technology:

I want to get some new earphones for my iPod--the ones that come w/ it hurt my ears after a while. What are good ones to get?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Rio, I got $10 cheapies at a local Radio Shack. They have hooks or clips that go behind the ears and anchor the phone in the ear -- so I can turn down the volume and still hear comfortably. So far, they work far better than the original phones that come with the iPod.

Don't know about long-lasting because I only got them a couple months ago.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Huge congratulations to Jim & Penny & Seth John! Heck yeah!

Happy anniversary to Hec & JZ!

Hi, Rio!

I'm very excited this morning, as all the exclamation points would attest. However, I'm listening to a tropicalia mix, which helps.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am officially giving up all hope of the first CD exchange completing.

Could DX, Steph, David, Corwood, Jon B, Kate, meara, tina, Anne W, Gandalfe, Lyra Jane & Alicia send me copies of their mixes?

If you don't have my address - email me at my profile address.

Thanks.

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

Oh dear. I don't have a copy of my mix. Nor do I think I kept the track list. Sorry, msbelle!
