BTW, David, I'm 90% sure Miller was playing a Fender Coronado. I've lusted for one for years, but I think the only one I've seen onstage was Jon Auer in his role as neo-Chris Bell for the sorta-Big Star: [link]

Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
David, I'm going to send your write up of the Scott Miller show to Big Bill Ham, who'll get a kick out of it.
Tell Ham that Kim also read his Interbabe piece at the Moe's book-reading. Also, Scott Miller was incredibly nice and thoughtful and was sporting a wedding ring, so I think he's remarried since his Shalini heartbreak.
No sir, Corwood, it was actually a Telecaster Thinline.
The plate wasn't white though, it was some cool sparkly retro looking material.
Edit - Oh, the Thinline. D'oh!
B.B. Ham has already expressed pure green envy about the show, although he mentioned that Miller would probably file a restraining order against him after their last meet. It's always awkward to meet your personal heroes, I think.

Kim taped it with professional equipment through the board. There should be MP3s available at the Lost in the Grooves website within a week or two.
Can someone please explain the reference to me?
[FTR: I saw the Ramones in 1987, after Marky re-joined the band, but before Dee Dee quit]
Babysitter's Club. I don't know about a record, though.
I think Jeff Barry did the music for some of the Babysitter's Club.
What bon bon said. It's about old skool Baby-Sitters Club. I don't think it's especially funny.
(Was Dawn the one from California?)

You mean the TV show, right? I never saw it.
Who's Jeff Barry?
Who's Jeff Barry?
He's who put the bomp in bomp a-bomp a-bomp, who put the ram in the ram a-lama ding dong, who put the bop in the bop shoo bop shoo bop, who put the dip in the dip da dip da dip. He was the man and I'd like to shake his hand -- and I mean it from the bottom of my boogity boogity boogity shoe -- he made my baby fall in love with me. He also wrote a bunch of great songs with his wife Cynthia Weil, including "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin," "On Broadway," "Walking in the Rain" and "We Gotta Get Out of This Place".
ETA: Almost forgot "Da Doo Ron Ron". I met him on a Sunday and my heart stood still...
