Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Are you ready to be strong?

Jonathan Richman has a song called "Vampire Girl" or "Little Vampire Girl" or something.

Oh, and there's a Butthole Surfers song called "Dracula From Houston." And the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion did a whole Vampire-themed album, but I don't remember its name. I don't like that band.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Tsunami Bomb, "R.V.E. (Rotting Vampire Eyeballs)."

Come to see you at the mortuary, you came round looking Oh so scary
It was very very late at night, and you gave me such a fright
We held hands to your lair then you gave me that monster stare
Being with you is like sucking on rotting vampire eyeballs!

People often think "Possum Kingdom" by Toadies is about vampires, and you could easily read it that way, even though it's not.

I can promise you
You'll stay as beautiful
With dark hair
And soft skin...forever

Then there's the whole Philip Glass Dracula soundtrack, but that is without words.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Jilli, if you go to All-Music and search in the Song category with Vampire you'll have hundreds of hits.

Or, you can take my recommendation to include "Vamp Camp" by The Ventures.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I already know what I want to do for the Unusual Love Songs mix!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I'm in, Gandalfe.

Another vampire song - "Sleepwalker" by the Kinks.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Didn't Queensryche do a vampire song?

Adrian Alexis did I Want To Be a Vampire
Alice Cooper's Fresh Blood could very easily be interpereted as vampiric.
There's always the entire Succubus Club compilation.
And Apoptygma Berzerk's Love Never Dies, Part 1 is his version of the love theme from Dracula.
