There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

They may well have been referring to "That 70's Show", but I have a vague memory of hearing them during an actual WB show -- maybe "Gilmore Girls".

It's always cool to find the hidden gem, even moreso when the whole catalog is so well known. It validates your discerning ear.

Actually, it's "Long Long Long," which clearly sets the stage for the dreamy space-rock of Big Star's Sister Lovers. And Lisah, of course Rock Snobs (or "Useless-Americans" in our prefered parlance) can like the Beatles, as long as it's either a) "the only real Beatles albums are Rubber Soul, Revolver, or the White Album, man" or b) "I only listen to the first four albums when the Beatles actually knew how to rock."

My favorite Beatles is "One After 909," especially the early version from Anthology 1.
