What does the New York Times call him? Mr. Edge? Mr. The Edge?
Just The Edge, actually.
Though they do manage to sneak a Mr. Clayton in there, just to let us know they're still on their game.
Has everyone heard that Petra Haden is joining the Decemberists?
Yes, yes we had.

That came out way more rude than I intended. Sorry LJ.
NY Times doesn't capitalize the T in "The", so I guess they think he's just Edge.
Most American publications don't cap "the" in those kinds of cases. Like the White Stripes, the New York Times, etc.

He died a couple of years ago, but made some amazing music. The bit you like is from "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."
My boyfriend has that CD!
he has you AND that CD? That's a lotta beautiful for one guy.
My boyfriend has that CD!
Man, if your fiancé finds out you've got a boyfriend, he's so gonna kick his ass.
Anybody else heard it yet? I've heard Antony compared to both Jeff Buckley and Nina Simone. Mostly I'm hearing the Nina Simone stylings, if she was a gay white boy with a great voice.
Yeah, I've been listening a lot. I agree about Nina, but the biggest influence I hear is Lou Reed; almost every song has one of those bom bom bom piano builds, and if croaked by a smack addict could fit perfectly on
Berlin
. The shock of the album, for me, is Boy George's contribution; I haven't heard him sound that good since
The Crying Game.

Thanks so much, Robin! The hivemind is an amazing thing, especially when it turns out that the singer is a
man
and the song I was thinking of
does
have words.
