Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Up with the sun

Well, I could always pick Belle & Sebastian, but figured I'd leave that for someone else.

Heh. I had the exact same thought.

And Gandalfe, thanks for your choice -- I haven't heard that yet, and I've been wanting to.

A fellow makes himself conspicuous when he throws soft-boiled eggs at the electric fan.

Yay! I'm in! Can I please have the password sent to my profile addy?

Hayden, I will endeavor next time to give warning before I show up in your paper. :-)

He must be so pleased that he's allowed to say "fuck" on recordings now.

Plenty of his contemporaries were dropping the f-bomb back in the day. I'd be surprised if none of his old songs, esp. with Gen X, included it.

Bad obsessive fangurl that I am, I have yet to find any Gen X stuff in easy, cheap reach. His live recordings are definitely less fettered language-wise. It's amusing to hear how he wants to sing them as opposed to how the record companies made him record them.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Mine is on the send.

My song is up.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

It'll have to wait until tonight when I'm home.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey!
