Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

By default, iTunes uses a format called AAC, which is supposed to give better quality sound at the same bitrates as MP3. You do have the option, though, of encoding your songs using MP3 in iTunes.

The songs you buy from the iTunes music store are also encoded in AAC, except they are encrypted, and have a different file extension, .m4p.

Punishingly Intricate

"Lawn Darts" by Ed's Redeeming Qualities has both sports and injuries in it.

Oh damn it!!! That could have been one of mine! (except i think I only have that on cassette)

Also, one of the first "Wow! Guess what I saw at work today!" stories that my friend who's an ER doc brought home had to do with lawn darts. A kid found a lawn dart half-buried in his grandparent's yard, tossed it in the air, it flew OVER the house and landed in his sister's thigh. VERY luckily missing any major arteries. She was fine but her brother was a mess.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Are there a lot of songs about broken noses though? Or injuries?

If you want we could expand it to the wider range of Emmett's interests: Playmobil, Pirates, Teen Titans, Roald Dahl, Marx Brothers ("When Harpo Played His Harp" - Jonathan Richman), Prince, handball, computer games, coin collecting, Yu-Gi-Oh cards, and soda (pop).

Aha! "Lawn Darts" by Ed's Redeeming Qualities has both sports and injuries in it.

She was pegged in the head
with a lawn dart (lawn dart!)
Her dad didn't see her,
that's the worst part....

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I have a great soda pop song in mind if we go that way. But I have a good baseball song too...

I am flashing back to many fond memories of the "Ed's Basement" series at the Rat back in 1990 or so.
