Now playing: Mrs. Miller singing "A Hard Day's Night."
Her reputation is deserved.
'The Killer In Me'
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Sorry I wasn't here, David, but the Alamo is one of the greatest things about Austin, run by and for film geeks. They regularly handle and show rare and archival material and produce viewings with creativity and charm. My friend Scott Von Doviak (who's also a film critic and film geek of the first order) knows those guys pretty well, so if you want to talk with someone with first-hand knowledge of their practices, let me know.
mp3s of almost every band playing at SXSW: [link]
Best. Concept/Tribute. Band. Everrr!
Heh. I don't know if that tops the heavy metal band with a parrot, or GABBA (a combo Abba/Ramones band). Still, that's cool.

I dunno, whoever linked to Nudist Priest really got my attention.
Ahhhh, music. Still need to work on Frankenbuddha's Crime Jazz though.
Just saw this over in bitches, and was still WAAAAY behind there.
Let me know when it's ready (no hurries on that front), as I have moved and will need to get you the new address.
That SXSW link is insane. Where does one even start?
You could go to the SXSW website, where each link is buried in each band's SXSW webpage. This guy is just making it easier by putting all the links on one page.
SXSW?
