Yeah, Lyra, the U2 schedule is weird. It's like a tour of the blue states. Which isn't intentional, I'm sure, but kind of funny. I can say that because they're coming to my blue state.

I hear that there's a third leg, in the fall with more NA dates.

And on U2log, there was a post saying that the leaked schedule, before the delay in announcing, had a lot more dates on it.

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

For Kate:

Tour schedule

Yeah, the leaked schedule had two Seattle dates. But there's a lot of gaps between the dates that are there now. I don't know how easy it would be to add more cities to this leg, but it seems like they might add second dates to cities that sell out quickly.

Go, Seattle! Gimme a second show! I have enough $$ for two GA tickets!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Thanks for the links. $49.50 for general admission? That's way less than I would have expected. Hmm...

I'm going with the general admission tickets, because I've heard that's the way to go;

Me too, Alicia. I remember feeling like I had a pretty good view when I saw them in '01, and I was on the floor then, so I plan to go by that. Plus, even the "cheap seats" seem pretty spendy to me.

The whole pre-sale thing through U2.com is an insane mess, and online U2 fans are freaking the hell out.

So I've gathered from the LJ U2 community. I can see why people are upset, though. Isn't the deal that you pay $40, and you only get a $20 discount on two seats, and can only buy for one concert? For that, I'll take my chances with everyone else and keep my forty clams.

I missed PopMart because I was in college and poor. For Elevation, I forgot when tickets were going on sale and ended up paying an insane amount on eBay, rather than miss them again. I hope I can actually pay face value this time.

I saw Zoo, because I was actually living in a Major Market then, and I was underwhelmed.

My friend saw Elevation in Boston and loved it. Of course, Bono did suck on her fingers.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Of course, Bono did suck on her fingers.

Did she have to pay extra?

What was underwhelming about it? I've always wished I was in a position to go to concerts then, but I was too young and too uncool.

Of course, Bono did suck on her fingers.

!!!!!!

This causes dueling reactions, here: "Ewwww, gross" and "Did she EVER WASH HER HAND again?"

Not worth saying twice.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Lyra had to post twice. Once for each reaction.
