However, I might just get to spend three days with Fay, so there is that.
Well, that's pure gold. Promise me you'll get drunk together and make out with her furiously.
'Out Of Gas'
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

it's the Boston Pops performing it, or at least somebody using the identical arrangement to the one the Pops use.
I figured as much. But it's a great arrangement. I love it.

You tell me to do that anytime I meet a Buffista.

And it's good freakin' advice.
msbelle! I got the cd's you sent me, and I will rip and send to Bicyclops within the week. I promise.
And it's good freakin' advice.
Well I never said I didn't follow it. *g*
You know what, this listing of Xmas music mixes is making me feel like a total grinch. The only Xmas music I really like is Vince Guraldi's, and really any other. I think I get Xmas music enough everywhere else, that I just don't want to listen to it at home.
Anyway, that's not why I'm here. msbelle, the copy of Joe Boucher's mix you sent me is totally frelled. The computer (and my stereo) can read the disc, but can't play it. It has crashed every media playing/recording program on my computer, and even made my CD player make strange noises and stop playing. I am going to try again at work, but if I can't get it to work, I will just send the other three on to Bicyclops.
The apocalypse is nigh -- I just heard Modern English's "I Melt With You" in a commercial for Ritz crackers. Jesus. That was our Prom theme one year (1987, IIRC).

I knew the Apocalypse was nigh the moment I heard Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life" selling Carnival Cruise Lines.
Lost Velvet Underground acetate found!
(had to use the google cache, cause the original article seems to be gone)
Are you all aware that Bowie's Lady Stardust was actually written about Marc Bolan?
"The Jean Genie" was about Iggy Pop.
Queen Bitch is about Lou Reed, too.
...and (coming in late) "Rebel Rebel" is about the New York Dolls.
Though, curiously, "Song For Bob Dylan"? About Nikolai Kruschev.
