Soul star Chaka Khan's son has been arrested for allegedly killing a man at his apartment in Los Angeles. Police confirm that 25-year-old Damien Holland was taken into custody on Friday when a fight turned ugly after Holland and a teenager fought over a rifle. According to American news show Celebrity Justice, an emotional Holland claimed the shooting was an accident. The bail has been set at just over $1 million.
Guns don't kill people. People fighting with guns kill people. Or something like that.

eMusic has been revamped. They have music critics to review music, and they are going to focus on non-mainstream (and non-major label) music. Currently they have more than 500,000 songs (which is a lot for an online service) and the songs come in mp3 format with no DRM.
Poking my head in to say that my record-store-employee housemate scored me a promo copy of the new Tom Waits album, Real Gone, and after listening to it for the past two weeks pretty much non-stop, I'm convinced it's his best since The Black Rider.
Run, don't walk, when it's released on 10/5.

He was probably my least favorite of WNEW's announcers back in the day, but he always had the best guests. There was this guy named Lennon who used to drop by now and then.
