There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

For the New York show, Steve Wynn of Dream Syndicate is doing a Flamin' Groovies tribute.
You could do a Feelies/Go Betweens/Mekons set.

That would be lovely. But I'd have to recruit a band. And, presumably, someone relatively famous to headline.
Hey, do you have anything about the Faces or Small Faces? Ian McLagen lives here.

Nope - but I am a fan of both bands. Mostly Steve Marriott though.
Scott Miller (Game Theory/Loud Family) will play for us in SF. I hope we could get him to do a nice career spanning greatest hits set.
I have acquired the new Duran Duran cd. it's...okay. nothing has really grabbed me from it. i'm hoping it will grow on me.
Anyone have an idea of where I could find Juluka - Scatterlings on cd? I have an old dubbed cassette (no, really), and I just grabbed an LP version off eBay, but the cd is eluding me since it has gone out of print on cd and people on the net seem to want like 80$ for it.
Is there an abebooks-like network for the used cd stores out there?
Good price too, but the fine print says R180 international shipping, essentially 3x the price of the cd. Damn. I'd like to avoid paying 50 bucks if I can.
