Wondering if anyone can help with a musical question. I have a couple of friends who are getting married shortly, and they want Moon River as part of the wedding music. They're convinced they heard a version by Andy Williams that (this is the tricky bit)
didn't
include a female chorus in the middle. That's the version they want.
Does this ring any bells for anyone, and if so, do you happen to know where they might find this track?

Hmmm. You know you
can
get the version of Audrey singing it. It was only just released on CD in the 90s, but it's available, and who wouldn't want that version?
Side note: REM used to do this in concert. Michael Stipe would sing it a capella.

Unfortunately, the answer appears to be the bride. Though I may download it anyway and present it as an option. (I've been authorised to collect up to ten different versions thereof.)
...Done.
There's also a gorgeous spanish version on the soundtrack od Mala Educacion. Although it will evoke images of prepubescent boys frolicking suggestively in slomo to anyone who's seen the film, and that may not be 100% what you want for a wedding.

Sadly, don't know of any such version by Andy Williams. They might be thinking of Jerry Butler's version, but Butler is far more soulful than Williams.
It shouldn't be difficult to find -- it's on a number of compilations of Butler's music.

Jerry Butler, hm? I'll suggest it to them.
Hey, congrats, Victor! I just read your announcement. Please pass along my further congrats to Thessaly.
Yay! I have finally managed to find a copy of The Name of This Band is Talking Heads in a record store. Also, I just discovered that a bunch of albums by The Passage were re-released on CD a few years back. So today I received their first album pindrop from Amazon.
Either one of these would be enough to make my day....
eta: Oooh, some of the bonus songs in TToTBiTH are really cool! So far, I really like "The Big Country", "The Girls Want to Be With the Girls", and "Electricity (Drugs)."
I just saw a story that Mo Tucker is joining the Raveonettes.

I hope you realise that just for a moment I thought you said Mo Rocca.
