Hrm. I was going to buy the new Scissor Sisters album (opinions, anyone?), but I may have to find The Streets instead.
Well if it made just one person choose The Streets over the Scissor Sisters it would be worth it!
(Just kidding, I quite like the Sisters too actually.)
If I can find it cheap, I'm in.
CONGRATULATIONS DAVID HECUBOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, supercutie RioBot. We're getting close - just the final galleys and the index to do. Then - the fun of the book launch parties. Which will involve music and groovy behavior. Though I doubt it can top the Bubblegum book launch at the roller rink.
Hey, if I'm looking to buy a Go-Betweens album, where would people recommend I start off?
"Cattle and Cane" is a great song. I might jump in on their mid-period, bt.
I think
16 Lover's Lane
has their most radio ready songs, like "Streets Of Your Town."
Record store guy almost had an orgasm of happiness when Tina bought
Before Hollywood.

I do like that song. And
Right Here, whose absence is the only thing preventing me from starting with Bellavista Terrace. Well, that and the feeling that I could probably stand to wind up with the odd few Go-Betweens albums, and I'd prefer to avoid overlap. I think 16 Lover's Lane might be the go.
Should you get further into their catalog, billytea, I think you'd like
Spring Hill Fair
and
Before Hollywood
as well. Probably
Liberty Belle
too which has "Spring Rain" on it.
