I've been playing the shit out of Blueberry Boat. It's weird, but it's my kind of weird. Plus large with the funny.
It does remind me of some Soft Boys songs, like "Wading Though A Ventilator", "Hear My Brane", "The Face of Death" etc. What with the constantly changing melodies and what-not....
Just a drive-by post, but David, it looks like someone is ripping off your Daisy Bang idea: [link]

That someone is Joe Gore, no less. Who played with PJ Harvey. Oh well, its not that far off from the Gorillaz or (my fav) The Huggabaloos!.
Heh. I really like the Theme to the Spooky Bunch.
Like a mix of The Munsters theme, Scooby Do
and Rocky Horror.
Spooky Bunch lyrics
I feel spooky
Crawling up from underground
I feel scary
Like a monster stomping round
I feel horny
Like a big rhinoceros
I feel kinky
Good thing there’s a bunch of us
Going bump in the night
Yeah it’s out of sight
The Spooky Bunch
Yeah yeah
The Spooky Bunch
Yeah yeah
I feel spooky
Like I’m in the house alone
I feel creepy
Better not pick up the phone
I feel lucky
Decadent and dangerous
It’s so funny
Everyone’s afraid of us
Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah
Yeah the Spooky Bunch
Yeah the Spooky Bunch
Yeah the Spooky Bunch
Yeah the Spooky Bunch

most memorably, the elaborate multisite game launched to promote AI. So where's the Web-based fiction that does more than fool you or stealthily convince you to buy something?
This guy obviously never actually took part in the game, or he'd know it was far, far more than a marketing ploy. It was amazing, immersive, and an ingenious method of using the Web to tell a story. Hell, it even went
beyond
the Web, integrating phone calls and e-mails as well as real-life gatherings.
Last night I bought a new copy of
They Might Be Giants'
"Flood". I hadn't listened to it in years. All I can say is I want to be able to utilize the piece of my brain that makes me capable to still know almost every single word. It's not fair. I could be using that bit of brain for good.
What's the bad in remembering all the words to "Some. One. Keeps. Mo. Ving. My-y-y Chaiiiiiiir."?
Oh no, its not bad. It's just that, for me to literally remember almost an entire album after years, that part of my brain must be very powerful. If I had control over what it knew, just imagine how much better off I'd be!
Because, there's only one thing that I know how to do well, and I've often been told that you only can do what you know how to do well, and that's be you. Be what you're like. Be like yourself. And, so, I'm having a wonderful time, but I'd rather be whistling in the dark.
Perhaps your powerful brain section is remembering those lyrics for a reason. You never know how much truth and knowledge is contained within "Minimum Wage."
I'm moving on to phase 2 of making The Handsome Charlies a Dallas sensation. Bar-owner guy is going to add them- won't know the exact date for a couple of weeks, but I want tons of people to go see them. I figure if I can describe them well enough to make people interested to either come to the show or check them out on the web and then come to the show when they see how totally awesome they are. Is there any of you who are fairly good at describing what a band sounds like who would be willing to give a song or two a listen and help me out with a good description? So far I've been saying punky-poppy, but I'd like something more exciting or accurate than that.

If you have to devote your powerful brain section to remembering the lyrics to Minimum Wage, your brain needs to ramp up the juice.
