"Within Your Reach" is one of my favorite 'mats songs. Just beautiful. Also love "Treatment Bound."

On the DVD commentary for Say Anything Cameron Crowe mentions that he had never heard the Replacements until Cusack introduced him to them while they were filming. That was kind of hard to believe (it was filmed in 88, I believe). As with all of Crowe's film commentaries it has lots of good little rock trivia bits in it. (The commentary was recorded in 2003 I believe and has Cusack, Skye and Crowe reunited for the first time since they did the film). Like the fact that they had a bunch of songwriters try to write a song to fit the famous "holding up the boombox" scene and finally Nancy Wilson reminded Crowe that "In Your Eyes" was one of their wedding songs and was perfect for the scene. You can tell from his silence that Cusack hates the song, but whatev.

"Within Your Reach" is great, but really gimme most anything off Hootenanny, Stink!, Let It Be, Tim, or Pleased To Meet Me (short of "Shooting Dirty Pool"), and I'll be happy. I like a lot of the other three, but just not at any ol' time.
