Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Those of you looking for #1 songs or looking to verify a #1 song, I also found this site.

So i was going through my CD collection (which is rather frighteningly smaller than what I have on my computer), and realized I don't think I actually have any "local" music. Not local to DC, at least. Indiana, maybe a couple. Huh.

And I'm torn, because there are a couple artists where they have two songs perfect for two different categories, but I'm not about to put the same artist on twice...

OK, so I dont' have a copy burned yet, because my CD burner suddenly crapped out and said there was an error about 30 seconds before it would've finished, but if you go here you can see my track listing/liner notes...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I can't believe two different people chose "Black Velvet."

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I've gone ahead and posted my liner notes here. Now you will finally have proof of my utter dorkitude and lack of musical sophistication.

Oh, frell. Even though the total time is less than 80 minutes, my playlist won't fit on one CD.

On Edit: The changes have been made (to the playlist and to the liner notes), and I think the mix is the better for it.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Anne, I wouldn't say dorky based on the songs I recognize.

I even bought the album containing your guilty pleasure song. Although it was for my brother's birthday -- he was a big fan.

And Meara, I like the way you solved your birth year quandary.

Are you ready to be strong?

Can someone consolidate these links to people's liner notes -- someone with a website, I mean? I want to be able to read them all when I have time. God I'm so demandy!
