I believe they all live in Toronto now it doesn't happen as frequently as you'd think!
Those big city bastards!
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

David, did you ever post the track lists for the wedding CDs?
Cough it up. I need to corroborate.
Oh it's mostly about personal politics in the band, and I don't know if they'd even acknowledge it was true.
One tidbit: Paddy is the only one that doesn't need the pitch corrector when they are recording.
Oh, and I heard several crazy stories about people I know thinking that they are the subjects of Sloan songs.
Whenever I hear the name Sloan I think of the Orton play Entertaining Mr. Sloan.
David, did you ever post the track lists for the wedding CDs?
I don't think I did.
I'll do it tonight when I can gank it off the iTunes.

Paddy = Patrick?
That tidbit annoys me to no end -- the idea that anyone "needs" pitch correction. I'm sure they weren't using it on their first few albums and those sounded great, so whay do they need it now? Bah!
Yeah, Patrick. And, yeah, it's only on the last few albums that they've been using pitch correction.
Where's Tina?
Finally home.
Thanks for the rec, erin, I will iTune it up in a bit.
Hec, I hope you did not send the mix CDs cause they are not here - and I've been gone longer than I expected to be and didn't stop the mail for the whole time. Will cry if you sent them and someone grabbed them.
Jon, I've been listening to the Slack album a lot as well - served me well on my many bus trips while I was on vacation. Glad I mentioned it here.
Yay that everyone is loving Hayden's Air We Breathe mix (and yay for liner notes for it). It made me run right out and buy everything I could by Spoon and Knife in the Water.
Hope everyone here had musically satisfying weeks. I only survived the last two days sitting in a waiting room in the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City due to my walkman, mixes (both mine and Buffista-made) and the Beatles. Let's just say I should have kept my passport as safe as I did my Walkman and mixes.
Speaking of Mexico, not so many record stores down where I was. But if you want some pirated JLo CDs for $1 a copy, it's the place for you. I did get to hear hours upon hours of authentic mariachi though, which was unbelievably fun.
Much much fun was had in Mexico, but I am so happy to be home.
I should really finish unpacking (almost done), catch up on other stuff, etc. but I am going out to get Season 6 DVDs because I am a bad, bad person. I know you'll all understand.
